Throughout the city of St. Clair, "Public Art" is becoming a common household phrase.

Through the direction of the St. Clair Art Association’s Public Art Committee, our community

has created great momentum in creating a unique sense of space through the Arts.  Just take a

look around and you’re sure to see the impact that Art has made – the “Two Ships” sculpture in

Riverview Plaza center courtyard, a unique Art Pod in China Township park along King Road,  hand-painted street banners, creative bike racks, a giant community mosaic fish sculpture "Wally", wall mural in St Clair Library Children’s Room, traditional sculptures, archways, informative ceramic plaques, murals, and more!

Many of SCAA’s public art projects have provided opportunities for individuals, businesses, and organizations to collaborate and develop a stronger sense of community.  Each project has been developed, created, and shared by individuals of all ages.  Projects create unique opportunities to utilize our community’s wealth of talent, skills, and resources.

The SCAA Public Art Committee will host periodic community forums to gather input and ideas for the new Plaza Park and additional “Art Pod” projects as well as concepts for future public art projects.  Our goal is to provide opportunities to empower our community’s creative and innovative spirit, while creating a sense of place like no other.  Our already beautiful community will continue to blossom through the Arts and civic partnerships.  ART FOR ALL!
